COUNTRY FOOTY CLUBS COULD BE AUDITED

Country football clubs may be randomly audited soon, to make sure they’re abiding by the new capped player payment rules. The move hopes to dissuade clubs from the temptation to pay any payments “under the table”. Casey Grice, who is the Community Football Operations Manager said he hopes that the stricter penalties will deter clubs from breaking any payment rules.
 
LOCAL KIDS AND OPPORTUNITES IN THE BEEF INDUSTRY

Several young locals including students from Naracoorte High School competed at the South Australian Junior Heifer Expo in Adelaide recently. The Expo is set up to provide youth with a pathway into the beef industry, and participants got to hear key note speakers talk about various topics that included marketing, nutrition, feed-lotting, butchering and cattle handling. 190 competitors attended from all over Australia, ranging in age from 8 to 23.
