BoM PREDICTS MORE RAIN PLUS SOME WARMER CONDITIONS
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting above-average rainfall for the month of July in the region. So far this season, central and northern South Australia have been wetter than average from April to June, while the Mid North, Murraylands, Mallee and Southern Agricultural Districts has been closer to average. With warmer weather expected by the end of next week, the Bureau suggests it could be a good time for South Australian croppers wanting to get out and spray or spread. Senior climatologist Darren Ray said that more rain is on its way later this week, adding that clear, warm conditions that’ll follow once the low pressure system we’re experiencing passes, should assist crop growth. Currently crop condition is good in the Wimmera and Mallee regions of Victoria, with the east of that state almost too wet in parts.
