| South Australia’s Solid Waste Levy is going to increase over the next four years, with a projected rise of $44 for businesses in metropolitan areas, and $22 in rural areas. In cases where local councils choose to pass on the levy rise to ratepayers; the impact is likely to be around $3 next year, increasing to $7 per year in 2019. State Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis said that every additional dollar raised from the solid waste levy will be invested back into the recycling and re-use of waste, to meet the objectives of the Carbon Neutral Adelaide initiative. |
