SALA COMES TO THE CAVES

The underground at the Naracoorte Caves National Park will play host to a unique arts experience towards the end of August, as part of the 2016 SALA Festival. SALA stands for the South Australia Living Arts Festival and is an annual event showcasing the arts in our State. A collective of artists will travel from Adelaide for five audio/visual performances of live music and dance, inspired by ritual, rhythm, rock art and sound frequencies, that will all take place in the Wet Cave. LOCAL ARTIST’S FIRST EXHIBITION IS VIBRANT

And in more Limestone Coast arts news, Naracoorte artist Im Dawson has livened the walls of the Naracoorte Art Gallery this month, with her exhibition for SALA called ‘The Colour of Life’. Im’s works include vibrant paintings of animals, birds and flowers, using mostly acrylics and watercolours. This is Im’s first exhibition, and art lovers are invited to her opening night on August 5th at 6pm. For more information contact the Naracoorte Art Gallery on 8762 3390.
