| LEGAL SERVICES A PRIORITY FOR WOMEN, REGIONAL & REMOTE: Women and children needing family law advice, and people in regional and remote areas will be given priority once changes to community legal services are implemented. While the Federal government has cut funding to the Community Legal Centre sector by 40%, the State Government led a review of Community Legal Centres, and created a new model that will increase online resources and centralise access to legal information. They also plan to provide outreach services to improve access to information, assistance and advice. There are presently eight Community Legal Centres in South Australia, including one in Mount Gambier. |
