| Residents in the Tatiara have been told not to panic if they haven’t received their Census papers yet. Conflicting information in the media about the process, including this year’s push for people to fill out their Census details on-line, has been confusing. A local coordinator advises that Field Officers will be delivering forms to homes right up until Monday August 8, and these can either be posted back or will be collected by a Field Officer. The nationwide collection of Census data, amongst other things, helps the government to allocate funding to areas of need in our communities, and also looks at the key characteristics of people living in or visiting Australia on Census night and the dwellings they live in.
