LOCAL BASHERS RAISE FUNDS FOR KIDS WITH BIG DRIVE AHEAD
Friday, 05 August 2016 11:30
The annual SA Variety Bash celebrates its 28th year commencing August 6-13, with more than 100 cars and 350 bashers signed up to drive the 2000+ kilometres between Port Lincoln and Clare. Local Bash entrants Sharon Tink and Karen Johnstone from Bordertown will team up with friends Jill Williams from Naracoorte and Angela Browne from Trott Park, and they’ll be travelling in a 1970 Holden HT wagon. Sharon and her childhood friends have raised over $17,000 already toward the charity event this year. Variety SA fundraising efforts go toward helping children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs. SA Variety Bash has raised over $34 million since it began.
