In more news from just across the border, Wimmera Uniting Care is holding a community forum on drug and alcohol abuse this coming Wednesday night, in Horsham. A panel of professionals in the drug and alcohol field will provide information and insights, and the audience will be able to ask questions, share experiences, and listen to expert advice. Wimmera Uniting Care chief executive Wendy Sturgess said one of the aims of the forum was to empower people experiencing drug and alcohol related issues, as well as their loved ones and those closest to them. The forum will be held at Wesley Performing Arts Centre in Horsham tomorrow night and starts at 6pm.

VEHICLES UNLOCKED = POSSIBLE FINE Police in Nhill are cracking down on residents who leave their cars unlocked. In fact vehicles that arefound unlocked during random checks in the township, could be decorated with a $152 on the spot fine for their owners. Police say it’s a bad habit that needs to stop, as it’s an offence to leave a vehicle with the key in the ignition or windows wound down and doors unlocked. Sergeant Jim Lee said t
