| The Dukes Highway near Bordertown will soon become the site of an art installation using old windmills, thanks to Sculptor in Residence, Mark de Nys from Mount Gambier, Bordertown’s Men’s Shed, and Country Arts SA. Council’s Naomi Fallon reports that the project has a focus around mental health for men, and that the partnership with the Men’s Shed ties in beautifully with the windmill project. It’s hoped the windmill art will interest travellers on the highway, and perhaps lead to them visiting town. The exact location along the highway is still up for negotiation, however the project will be officially launched in October. |
