| Still on the subject of water, and the difference between too much and not enough, for the first time in four years, the Wimmera River is flowing toward Dimboola. Above average rainfall this season has seen water pass through the Horsham Weir, and its great news for the smaller communities along the river, with around 30 mega litres per day flowing through. If the region sustains average winter and spring rainfalls, it’s believed the river will continue to flow, and that’ll also increase the distribution of fish and biodiversity, in areas that have been dry for years. |
