BOOL LAGOON WATERS RISING

Water has started to flow again into the Bool Lagoon Game Reserve, in Naracoorte. Some decent rainfall levels lately have contributed to the rise, and Naracoorte Lucindale council’s Director of Operations Steve Bourne says that we could see the lagoon fill completely if rain continues. Many hundreds of magpie geese and swans are apparently migrating back to the game reserve as a result.
 
PENOLA RATES HIGH IN ON-LINE SHOPPING FIGURES

Australia Post reports that the town of Penola’s online fashion purchases are growing by 39% each year, and the town is in the top four fastest growing locations in South Australia that purchase fashion items on line. Despite this trend, and the large volumes of parcels being delivered to Penola addresses every day, Penola Post Office’s Bev Banks believes that most people do look locally for items before going on-line and “adding to cart”. Bev said that people are wanting to support local businesses because they want the town to thrive, however if they can’t find what they’re after in town, they do shop in the bigger towns, or hop on-line, letting google and pay-pal help them shop.
